BIOGRAPHY

Harro van Schoonhoven finished The Academy of Photography in 1989. After that he started working as a D.O.P. with English director Brian Morris, who in 1992 gave him the opportunity to start directing as well.

A few years later he started his own production company in Amsterdam and since then directed over 600 commercials for national and international brands. Among them are Dunlop, Nivea, Pringles, Grolsch, Hero, Pick wick, Albert HeiJn, Plus, Procter & Gamble, Bayer, Opel, Heineken, Mitsubishi, Coca Cola, Dutch Government and many others. For all commercials he directed he was D.O.P. as well.

Although his showreel shows great variety in subjects and films, his favourite subject are films involving food, realistic family issues  combined with nice photography and story telling.
